Biography:
Sanja Lazarova-Molnar received her M.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 2000 from "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" University in Skopje, Macedonia. She continued her studies at the University of Magdeburg, Germany, from where she obtained her Masters degree in Computational Vizualistics in 2002. Afterwards, she was a member of the Simulation and Modelling group at the same university, from where she obtained her PhD in Computer Science in 2005. Her specialization area is computer simulation and in her PhD thesis she establishes a new simulation method i.e. the proxel-based method, which she also applies in efficiently solving some problems for the safety department of DaimlerChrysler. She has presented many of its aspects at many conferences, both in a form of publications and tutorials.

In 2006 she joined the New York University in Skopje, Macedonia as an Assistant Professor, where she is currently holding a Visiting Professor position. Since August 2006 she is an Assistant Professor at the United Arab Emirates University.

Her main research interests are in the areas of computer simulation and modeling of stochastic systems, as well as reliability and performability analysis of fault-tolerant systems.
