NEBP433 : Advanced Networking Lab

Description:This laboratory provides a series of hands-on experiments in scalable IP networking and QoS control in support of advanced services such as VoIP and video streaming. In this lab, students will learn how to select optimum networking solutions as well as strengthen their skills in configuring, testing and troubleshooting as well as the design and deployment of scalable IP networking infrastructure. Furthermore, students will gain the knowledge in QoS control and network management through a laboratory project. The topics covered in this lab include VLAN, STP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and different QoS control approaches.

Outcomes:
  1. Understand concepts, mechanisms and approaches in VLAN - STP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP, in the context of enterprise networking implementation.
  2. Design, implement, test and troubleshoot of scalable IP networks.
  3. Demonstrate the skills and hands-on experience in QoS control in IP network environment to support VoIP/Video services.
  4. Utilize both Network emulation tools and real equipment for building, testing, and evaluating various networks
